About us

 

We are a team of research experts in Economics of Education who provide evidence to promote the development of innovative educational strategies and policies at the service of country's educational quality, relevance, equality and inclusion.

Vison
 

Be a national and international benchmark in educational transformation issues that promote educational development and innovation in Colombia and the region.

Gaps in education (by gender, socioeconomic level, type of school, digital media and geographic areas, among others)

Educational innovation

Luz Karime Abadía Alvarado

Economist and Master of Economics of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana; she also holds a Master's degree in Empirical Applications and Economic Policies, and a PhD in Economics from the Universidad del País Vasco. She has served as the Director of the Economics Department at Universidad Javeriana, and Director of Promotion of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education. Her areas of research are Economics of Education, Labor Economics, and Gender Studies. She is currently an associate professor in the Department of Economics and Director of Graduate Studies in Economics.

Gloria Lucia Bernal Nisperuza

Economist and Master of Economics of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Master of Public Administration of New York University, and PhD in Public Policy Analysis from Maastricht University UNU-MERIT in the Netherlands. Her areas of interest are Economics of education, Public Policy Analysis and Impact Assessment. She is currently an assistant professor of the Department of Economics of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá.
